Great Granola

I've had this one requested a lot... everytime I take it camping, everyone wants to know how to make it. It's very filling and you can do a lot of variations...

Mix all dry ingredients together in a very large bowl:
*7 cups oatmeal (quick)
*2 cups flour (white or wheat)
*1 cup wheat germ
*1 cup sunflower seeds
*1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
*1 - 2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix and heat in a sauce pan:
*1/2 cup water
*1 cup canola oil (can use other types)
*1/2 cup brown sugar
*1/2 cup honey
*1 tsp. vanilla

Pour over dry ingredients and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Pour onto large cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.

When granola comes out of oven, add dry fruit or whatever else you want. I add raisins and dry apricots, apples, etc.

It's the most filling breakfast, ever. Delish!
