Frozen Apple Pie Filling

*6 lbs. apples peeled, cored, sliced (I use my handy-dandy peeler/corer/slicer from pampered chef)
*2 cups sugar
*1/4 cup flour
*1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
*1/4 tsp. nutmeg
*1/4 tsp. salt
Orange peel of half an orange (grate it with small grater)
Vanilla- about 2 tsp.

Cook over medium heat until thick. Let stand 30 minutes and then put in Freezer Bags or Freezer Containers. Makes great pie at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

****Double, Triple, or Quadrouple this recipe because when the apples are on -- they're one!
